I carve segmented turned bowls, vases and platters. Special interest is focused on geometric designs and patterns of Native American Nations throughout the United States. This interest began during my doctoral fellowship and thesis studies while at the University of Montana. Segmented turning of exotic and domestic woods allows unlimited choices of designs using the natural colors of the wood. Special enhancements to the pieces can be seen through the use of colored tiles, InLace, pyrography, and/or texturing.
