Bonnie Gibson

One of the earliest artists to bring InLace resins to the medium of gourd art, I also wrote a tutorial on the use of InLace which was published on my website, www.arizonagourds.com/inlace.html in 2004. It has been viewed thousands of times and remains publicly available. I have also taught classes on the use of InLace resin for the last five years. Betsey Sloan used a lot of my original material in her InLace Techniques book, and there are many photos of my work included in the book as well.

I sell finished gourd art as well as tools and supplies for gourd crafters, and am the author of "Gourds: Southwestern Techniques & Projects from Simple to Sophisticated". Please visit my website to see what is currently available.

Finishing Notes: My preferred technique is to sand the inlay down to about 180 grit or 240 grit, spray with several coats of Deft lacquer, and complete the inlay with steel wool which completes the process of achieving good color with a nice satin finish.
