The inlacebook.com shipping policy is that we charge all orders at actual shipping cost via USPS Priority Mail. Simple as that. Every order.
Please note that there is no mention of an order 'handling fee', 'processing fee' or any other such malarkey policy. We add no handling fees, thus have no need for such a policy, nor do we hide the existence of such fees through the various subterfuges which are a bane for honest internet based merchants. Far too many internet merchants base large margins of their profits on the implementation of business models that low-ball price, and then cheat their customers with shipping and handling charges that far exceed costs; especially so if they ship via a low standard of service, and most particularly so if they are doing sufficient business volume to qualify for significant shipper discounts which become pure profit to pocket. Many merchants make little or no actual profit on merchandise, opting to operate a business model which rakes in profits on shipping/handling charges. inlacebook.com sells merchandise, and we price our products to provide a fair profit. Simple as that. No exceptions.
Good luck finding a more transparent, honest, shipping policy or a better deal. Feel free to shop around. Our business standards ensure that we have no competitors. There are certainly other outlets that sell the brand - but that is not the same thing.
As stated, we ship all orders via USPS Postal Service Priority Mail service. They claim a 2 - 3 day delivery schedule (including Saturday as a business day), and generally make the goal delivery date. Our customers love this speed of service. Delivery schedules and dates are not guaranteed, but complaints are few.
All orders received, packed, and paid before 4:30pm EST , Monday thought Friday, will almost certainly ship 'same day'. Simple as that. All orders ready for shipment after that time will ship the next business day. When an order is completed you will be sent an itemized email invoice which will include the Delivery Confirmation number for your package. Our service is unmatched. Note: We also ship on Saturday; 11:00am EST is the cutoff time, but this also means that all late Friday orders will ship on Saturday. Orders that are not shipped 'same day' will ship the next business day. Note: The post office has quite a few 'holidays' during the year. Packages will ship the next USPS business day when applicable.
Although orders might qualify for lesser USPS First Class, Parcel Post, or Media Mail services, we do not believe the minor savings to be worthwhile and do not offer these service options.
Charging 'actual shipping cost' for USPS Priority Mail does complicate shipping quotes. The cost of shipping depends primarily on two factors: the weight of the package, and the destination. Thus, it is very difficult to automate our shipping calculation in the shopping cart. We do not include the shipping cost in our shopping cart total cost for this reason. The order will be packed, the appropriate cost of shipping added, and the total amount will be charged. The itemized invoice which will be emailed upon completion of the order will include the exact amount of shipping as an individual line item. When you receive your package, the actual cost of shipping will be clearly visible on the shipping label. Many merchants adopt a practice of 'stealth' shipping; meaning that the actual cost is not disclosed or available on the label. It is hidden for a reason.
Customers who would like to submit an order, yet remain leery of not knowing or trusting the exact cost of shipping in advance of completion of the order need only note in the 'Special order details:' text box that they would like to know the exact cost before the order is completed. In this event, we will gladly pack the order and quote the exact shipping cost for approval BEFORE the order is charged and completed. (Note: This may delay completion of the order by a couple of days, depending on the turnaround of communicating the details.)
We do not offer expedited services; UPS Next Day, 2nd Day, and such. However, Priority Mail is adequately speedy for virtually all of our customers.

InLace Book .com accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, and the charge will appear on your statement as "InLace Book .com".
Note: The address and zip code provided for the billing address must match the credit card being used. For example, we will gladly ship to your PO Box if desired. This is necessary for many customers because we ship USPS and delivery to the street address may not be possible. However, if the official address for the credit card is not the PO Box, but a street address, we will need the street address in the billing address block. The address and zip code information must match the credit card. An alternate delivery address is easily specified.
If PayPal is selected as your preferred method of payment, we will submit a money request to your PayPal email address for approval.The order will be completed as promptly as possible upon receiving notification of payment approval.
PayPal money requests will be made through the parent company account of Benton & Blackie, LLC. The Subject line of the money request email will be "InLace Book .com - Order". The "Note" with the request will be "Your order is ready to ship just as soon as you approve this money request and payment is confirmed. InLace Book .com thanks you for your business."
Note: PayPal account addresses are notorious for being out of date. Also, children use their parents' accounts; boyfriends and girlfriends use each other's accounts..... The order will be shipped to the shipping address (if different than billing address) that is provided with the order submission.
Note: echecks are not 'instant payments'. Orders paid through PayPal with echecks will not ship until funds have cleared. After funds have cleared (four to six days on average), the order will ship immediately. Instant payments are much faster and easier for most everyone, but we will accept echecks through PayPal.
InLace Book .com does not accept checks, money orders, or COD orders.
Orders outside the USA ship via USPS Priority Mail International exclusively. We require advance approval of the total cost before any order shipping outside of the United States is completed. Simply make your order through our Secure Shopping Cart, and we will promptly pack the order, calculate the actual shipping cost, and send an email requesting approval of the total cost. After receiving the approval reply, the order will be completed promptly. Note: The USPS typically quotes a six to ten day delivery schedule for international packages. However, the actual delivery date is entirely dependent upon the speed and efficiency of postal officials and customs officers. Due to these factors, twice that time or more is sometimes a more realistic expectation.
Note: We will only ship international orders legitimately, as merchandise. Requests to mislabel international shipment as gifts, or to declare an incorrect value will not be accommodated. That is an unethical practice in which we will not engage.
